RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 build
Sorry for resurrecting my old build thread, but if anyone's interested in a Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 kit (half built) I'm selling mine along with all my other stuff. It's the Ultie 2 referred to way back on page 15 of this thread. Sadly I never finished it.

Well I finally did it.... That's right I made a mistake and buried my Ultimate after 350+ flights. I loved that plane..... well I guess it's time to build another. Fortunatley I have many copies of all the parts and I have molds for all the fiberglass parts and the Canopy. So I guess it's back to the building table. I may post the build if anyone wants to see. I have also made two larger versions a 50cc -72" wing and a 100cc - 82" wingspan.

Sorry to hear about the demise of your Ult. I'm in the process of building the TF Sea Fury and that's enough building. My Carl Goldberg Blue Hawk 10-300 is an ARF and flies great. Thanks for the offer.

frequent flyer......................I do have some pictures that I took during the build. I won't be starting a thread, but I can pm you some pictures. The fuselage is all covered. The wing is all built up, but i'm still working on the split flaps. I will get back to the building in the winter. There are a few issues with this kit in my opinion regarding the rudder and tail wheel servo locations.

frequnt flyer................replies in pm only one file is allowed. I've quite a few pictures most of them are large files. If you have any questions regarding the tf/Sea Fury I'll gladly will try to help. I have no intention of starting a new thread, but there is a thread on this kit. I might have even posted some pictures.

Hello all,
I built a CG Ultimate back in 1996 and loved the way it flew. I've been out of the hobby a few years but am looking to get back in and would love to build another Ultimate. If anyone has one and is willing to part with it I would take it off their hands. I'm looking for the kit not the ARF or RTF type.
thank you all in advance

RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 build
hey all i just started building my ultimate from scratch. Kit discontinued always wanted onr so decided to scratch it. Got most of the parts from great planes however they did not have the wing ply joiner, Rib 7, Or the center support for sheeting the wing. I am wondering if anyone here perhaps had tracings of these parts and if so they may be as so kind to provide me with them? any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thank you phil

I think we should start a 'bring back the ultimate kit' forum. Sucha great plane to build and fly....in fact if Great Planes updated it and put it out as their own kit I am sure it would do well. Updates such as better cabanes, fiber glass parts, aluminium LG, elevator servos at the rear and aileron servos in the wing, as well as a better wing/cabane set up....man it would be wicked.

I am working on this kit now, and am working on the wings. Not exactly sure what you are talking about the "tracing", but I do still have the ply and balsa sheets that I punched the pieces out of as well as the pieces, some of which haven't been installed.
If you could let me know specifically what part you are looking for, I might be able to help.

Phil:
I got your email. I have copied the actual punchout sheet 5314 by puting it in a copy machine. Unfortunately I don't have sheet 5316. Maybe abbott or someone else does. I will put my copy in the mail tomorrow. Larry

I do have 5316, is it the "spar center joiner" you are needing a tracing of?
Send me a pm with your address and I'll make a copy for you.
Unfortunatly I've already installed them, so I can only trace the punched out sheet.

alright guys got my plans and the parts i ordered from great planes today. Waiting on a few oter things but other than those construction will comence shortly. Ihave one question. Does any one here have any experence with the asp 4stroke engines. I'm wondering because the price is right but if they are junk not worth it. Phil

RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 build
mrshea.......................no experience with the ASPs. Research this engine before you purchase. My CG Blue Hawk flies great with the Saito 120, lots of power to spare. Build light for this great flier. Make sure you seal all hinge lines to avoid flutter, that's my only advice for this great bi-plane. Even with the tighest hinge line and 4-40 / du-bro swivel ball links and making sure no binding, I still experienced a slight flutter in flight tests. After sealing the hinge lines all was well. Good luck with your build mate.

Ok I have a Goldberg Ultimate on one side of my shop and a Fox .74 ringed on the other. Will this fly it? Would be nice to put both in use but not a biggie if not.
Thanks,
Vince

vincemi..........................don't know what you mean, be specific please. If I understood you right is, that you have an Ultimate and you also have .76 Fox engine and you want to install this engine on an 11 lbs. bi-plane ?[sm=50_50.gif] How many of you understood the question ?
