Yes I've added a pin going through.. Could you maybe post some pics of this mod for others to see how you have done it. Its a major defect as I see it and has not really been highlighted to others for safety.

Thanks for the pics ... did you make the clamp yourself? where can the rest of us get them? Maybe the factory could supply if it knows its an issue /
It is definitely a safety issue... without some kind of clamp or pin to secure the front of the fin there is nothing keeping the front down. The main spar clamp is too far back. The fin just rocks.. Our mods seem to work though which is good enough for now if you say the factory will do the mod for future runs.!

I had the clamp as spare at home from another jet, but there are many other ways to do it, a simple hole and tap from the side of the fuse into the front aluminum spar would do the trick, no need to go over board
actually one guy just put a piece of tape on the front - that works too. but i do like neater solutions.
Yes i was told the clamp will be added to future kits. for me it is really great that Top RC is listening to pilot feedback and modifying accordingly.

My Odyssey
Ok SO I added some tray along the bottom of the fuse with spanners running between the formers.. I wasn't comfortable mounting the tanks directly to the fuse.. It was a very flexible area. Also I followed Lior's suggestion and cut the gear panel in half for easy access...
Also using MPX connectors on the wings....

This is my first composite jet so please indulge me. The front gear door doesn't sit flush at the front. I'm not sure how to fix this, never worked with fiberglass. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The front strut doesn't go all the way down on the retract, is this normal. I loosened all the screws it is bottoming out on the pin. Again any help is appreciated.
Thanks Mark

2. if the pin bottoms out simply cut it shorter with a dremel cut off wheel.
