The plane looks great!! Koverall is a wonderful thing... I'm really getting away from film for everything except small/sport planes. OK, I gotta know, what the heck is that weirdo looking thing next...

hmm.... the Balsa USA 1/4 scale floats are 44.25" long; might be just right if they'll support 20lbs well. Maybe I'll have a look at the sea commander floats; they seem to have a lot of options for...

That's what I'll use then. I was just looking at the two & noticed that the 45 would be less likely to require carving up the front of the cowl than the q-50 due to the position of the flywheel...

Has anyone tried the Balsa USA 1/3 scale floats on this plane?? they're 59" long & look good; if they seem to be a good fit I'll grab a kit at the Toledo show on Fri. I've got a G-45 and a Quadra 50...

I'll probably go for something like a ZDZ 40 or 3W42i, or perhaps the 300 twin spoken so highly of in this thread. By the time I buy an exhaust for the gas burners the initial cost...

OK; I've got the bug now!! Looking to build a 1/3 on floats, any recommendations for engine?? Thinking gas, I've heard good things about a G38, a G45, right on through to a G-62. Might add smoke. ...
