RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine

I agree! Don puts together a fine kit. His instructions are great. Could almost scratch build from them alone.

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine

Hello! Don Muddiman used to supply plans for his Flying Machine. Not sure he still does since Condor Hobbies is building an ARF. Don's website is http://www.eagle-i.us/fm/.

Hope this helps.

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine

You got that right, Roger! LOVE the Jett .50 BSE! Different sound, response, power curve, light weight. Sounds like an F1 race engine! Believe me when you fire one up EVERYONE pays attention. Not...

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine

Don used to recommend even the .46AX with tuned pipe. Personally I've used the .55 AX with tuned pipe and had excellent results! Either will work fine.

Also, don't worry about flying the FM. As...

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine

Mrsand, I think you're gonna want a pretty hot two-stroke for the FM. Weight and speed are important here.

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine

Chris, it's great to hear that. As you know, we've all had the experience of noticing something getting "loose" on our various ARF's, doing a little forensic surgery, only to find joints without glue...

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine

Spoken like a true ProBro!! If it can't handle extreme, it ain't a Flying Machine! I love it when the guys at the field lose count on the number of full throttle diving spins from out of sight...

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine

Hate to keep raining on the parade, but I just noticed the lightening holes in the fuse sides and bottom. That doesn't seem right to me knowing what I'm going to expect out of this plane. Again seems...

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine

Looks good, but appears to have much less strengthening than the original. Needs four wing bolts with aluminum sheeting support, not just two. Also wing looks a tad weak with no glass cloth on the...
