Something else to consider and something I experienced, when Pica boxed these kits, their wood was terrible!
After I scratched my first one I picked up a kit, I was not happy with the wood at all!...

FYI, our Waco's will glide even at 16Lbs :D
It is ok to run out of fuel in the air; all will not be lost even if you happen to run out 20 feet above the deck center runway heading toward a pond...

I agree, rudder is good I always use it as well but, I'd rather not fly around holding it over either )

Hi Jim,
Yes, Supercoverite was used then I sprayed Klass Kote's gray high solids primer. Sanded for awhile and went to work on the rivets and overlapped panel lines etc, then sprayed the orange....

The easiest way for me to do this, airplane on the main gear & tail wheel with a measurement up to the spinner (center) and a measurement up to the bottom of the rudder (hinge line)...

I agree with Bill's recommendation however, I am running the 170 3 cylinder on my YMF and I have my onboard glow mixing down to 10% on the throttle stick. My 170 is running sweet, wouldn't swap it...

The wind is your friend :)

On the 2nd day of competition with my Waco, wind was very strong. I almost ducked out but decided to continue. Much to my surprise, the plane didn't mind.
