If there are no compound curves maybe try covering with 220 or 400 grit sandpaper? Black marker then thin coat of clear?

what about mixing or applying a super fine powder or grit to wet paint? something along the lines of anti slip wing walks.maybe the powdered steel?Micro Mark has some real fine aluminum oxide grit...
