RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Thanks mogman. I'll keep the top edges of the fin and rudder flat as you say and round off the others.

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Thanks Dan,

I expressed myself badly on the subject of rounding off the edges on the tail surfaces. Actually, I have no problem with the shaping of the edges using long sanding blocks etc. ...

Hello DD,

Thanks for that thread on rounding off the tail feathers. I've been following your posts with interest. Hope you finish your S/W this winter and get the first flights over and done. ...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Dan (RCPilot100),

Thanks for all that advice, experience and photos. I still shudder to think of rounding off all those tail surfaces.

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Mogman, thanks for the reassurance on the landing gear. I like that idea of yours using a small stong spring to replace the elastic bands.

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

The instruction manual for the 1/3 Spacewalker calls for the rounding of ALL of the edges on the elevators, stabilizer, fin and rudder. Has anyone actually done this?

Surely the trailing edge...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Thanks for all the info. As a matter of interest did you install the servos as shown on the plan or did you locate the elevator and rudder servos to the tail?

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Hello Eftat,

Well done! The Spacewalker looks terrific.

I've just started to build mine so am many months (?) away from flying. Can you tell us more about the model, like what type of...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Hi DD.

Thanks for your reply on the Spacewalker build. I'll keep an eye open for any further posts on this thread.

Wonder what happened to all those other builds that were taking place?...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

DrDeath. I'm interested to know if you have completed the Spacewalker yet. Followed your build and all the other interesting posts and have often wondered what the final outcome was. Am considering...
