RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

I have one in the box waiting to be built and I know how it should fly scale but like you I would not be happy with a G38 in the nose. I will go with nothing less than a 50cc when I build. I had a GP...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

I have a Saito 270 which has flown a lot of flights without losing a cly. let alone a flame out and I do not have an onboard glow. That being said if I put that engine in an airframe that took "100's...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

I'm glad to hear your impressions of the OS 300 in this plane. It is what I was going to use but I would want a bit more power. I'll have to rethink this maybe. As far as the landing gear goes buried...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

I waited a long time to pick up a good twin at a good price. The 270 you see cost me 10 years of looking and $400.00. Starts 1st flip everytime, turns a 20 - 10 @ 6500 Safely and has only lost a cly....

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

That's what I bought my Saito 270 for. Now I'm thinking I should get an OS 300 just because I like the rocker covers better.

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

IMHO the Spacewalker properly done is the best looking mono plane in modelling. I can't wait until I get the time to start on mine. Most built have gas engines but IMHO they MUST have a twin or a...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Stacy,

I am curious about the rpm you are getting with the OS and MA 20 - 8. I have been running a Saito 270 for a while and get 6500 ( safely ) on a 20 - 10 MA. I have a 1/3 Spacewalker kit and...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Absolutely gorgeous my friend. I have one waiting to be built and if it turns out as good as yours I will be very happy. The engine is perfect for it, I was thinking of an OS 4 cly. for mine but I...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Of course it will fly. 20 - 23 lbs is about what these things come out at with a heavy engine. I am only quessing but I bet Bob's with the flat - 4 in it will be more than that. I saw only one of...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Landing gear ordered. I'll wait to see how the engine works out before I order that. Almost $2000.00 Cdn. [X(]

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Bob, since your there is that gear #690 or 690B they are both for a 1/4 scale cub but one is slightly wider than the other. 690B is about 1" wider top & bottom. If you don't know I'll check the plans...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

I was afraid that if i clicked the full size icon on those pictures my computer would explode :D:D:D

But I love that engine. I have the kit and a Saito 270 twin for it but I've been eyeballing...
