RE: Fly Eagle F-15 (1/9) Building Thread

Sperx,

I am using heavy duty JR ARMS (plastic composite) on the 8611s that I am using, and yes I had to open the holes a bit for the screw to fit on the shaft end.

regards,
Mike

RE: Fly Eagle F-15 (1/9) Building Thread

The recess will be in the aileron or the flap and not the wing. I do not have a picture of mine. Try this link, it gives you an idea of how it is suppose to work...

RE: Fly Eagle F-15 (1/9) Building Thread

If the boxes are not fitting in, there is a problem. I think there was a size diffrence in terms of height on the boxes where one is for the aileron and one for the flaps. Can you post a few pictures...

RE: Fly Eagle F-15 (1/9) Building Thread

Jason,

the "small wood" is for attaching the servo cover to the wing. I did something similar as the edges were too narrow for screw engagement. I do not remember if it was on this thread or the...

RE: Fly Eagle F-15 (1/9) Building Thread

757Driver,

The taxi tank is similar to the BVM, on my F-16 the overflow line sticks out the belly, I can pull it out a bit and hookup my taxi tank to it. Once it is ready for flight, I take the...

RE: Fly Eagle F-15 (1/9) Building Thread

757Driver,

I use a third line on my UAT to fill the tanks and I hookup my taxi tank to the overflow line. Any overfill will go directly in to my overflow tank and I use that to taxi.

RE: Fly Eagle F-15 (1/9) Building Thread

Jason,

They recommend replacing the sheetmetal screws with the blind nuts. I think the shettmetal screws will rip off on each rough landing, and then you will endup using a blind nut anyway.

RE: Fly Eagle F-15 (1/9) Building Thread

RE: Fly Eagle F-15 (1/9) Building Thread

Peter,

I would use Hysol 9642 or E20, if you do not have that, mix some microballon wiht the epoxy, not a lot, just a bit to get a runny/pastey form. That gives you a stronger bond.
