i used chrome monokote for the fuse, aluminum monokote for the wings and i used klass kote epoxy paint for the nose.

just as a note there are finished pics of my plane in this thread somewhere....

here are some pics with the dle 20 in the cowling with a j-tech small pitts muffler. i have not flown her since the engine swap i hope to fly her soon

yes it is the 1/7th scale no problems as of yet i am still looking into muffler options i have not decided yet if i want to go with the j-tech compact pitts style muffler or the j-tech p-51 style...

the fiberglass fuse could be a good idea also the use of composites might lighten it up a tad but all in all this is a warbird and it wont fly like a trainer

come to think of it mine was nose heavy too, but i was able to move my battery back far enough to balance out

hobbico cs-12 mg's they have almost the same torque as standard servos but a fraction of the size and are metal geared

i dont remember where they were in relation ship to the bell crank but here is a pic of the location. my only recommendation would be to mount them closer to the spar and perhaps one more bay...

i am using hobbico cs-12 metal gear servos for my ailorons. to install them i took and made a new bay just like the bay for the flap servo and mounted my wing servo the same way. i have flown mine...

nevermore, i used the 85 degree retracts, 7/16 struts and 4 inch wheels. to make mine fit i had to sink the rails into the wing i kept them level but ended up shimming them later with a couple...
