RE: Top Flite 1/7 P-51 Build

Just a reminder that the weight of the servos in the wings in total isn't the primary concern by designing the wing with one central servo. It is the moment of inertia of the servo in the tips of the...

RE: Top Flite 1/7 P-51 Build

Nice job and congratulations on bringing it back for another shot! The P-51 was not a stunt plane originally, and the model....with a similar high wing loading will not be an acrobat. It is a scale...

RE: Top Flite 1/7 P-51 Build

Yea, I agree...aircraft modelers have been using belcranks for decades, and real planes use pushrods and belcranks. It is of course personal preference, and I didn't want to start a major debate on...

RE: Top Flite 1/7 P-51 Build

In concurence, Top Flite has been excellent with me on parts. I had decals that were partially stuck to the plans on their original shipment with the kit. They didn't haggle with me and simply sent...

RE: Top Flite 1/7 P-51 Build

RE: Top Flite 1/7 P-51 Build

Nothing personal...I just think these propellor ideas come up now and again; and they are VERY dangerous! Our wooden or composite two bladers are dangerous enough whether attached to a seemingly...

RE: Top Flite 1/7 P-51 Build

Yea...I got to say, I have the static prop too. It looks nice. Don't be getting any silly ideas about flying that prop. It seems these same lessons need going over at least once a decade. Foget about...

RE: Top Flite 1/7 P-51 Build

I fly any and all...this is the 1/7th TF Mustang page. I would hope we all try to stay on topic a bit on threads...it isn't my duty, but really all of ours to police ourselves. So hounding for a...

RE: Top Flite 1/7 P-51 Build

George that is interesting story! Go get the wing out of the tree! Monokote should have kept it a bit dry? It is amazing what repairs can be done to a balsa model! The fuse looks totally usable, and...

RE: Top Flite 1/7 P-51 Build

I concur...one of the nicest little TF Mustangs ever, I am guessing. What do you expect for weight Aaron? Seems like it will remain within range. We all look forward to future in-flight footage! -Eric

RE: Top Flite 1/7 P-51 Build
