To those that have finished their airplane... can you tell us what servos you used?

I have glassed my airplane and am almost ready for paint
using a 1.2 FS engine and Futaba super 8 radio...

The biggest problem with slow retracts is the interference drag theycreate.   They dont look scale, but thats really not so bad.  As thegear retract the amount of drag they create will go up NOT...

Status report... I have the tail feathers glued to the fuselage.. the wing is bolted on.. but I will sand the saddle a bit more, I am not to happy with how it is sitting now. ...

     Just a quick update.  I have the wng done and the retracts mountes.. they work great, I may need to shim one to make them match perfectly.. but they look great.  The fuse is well...

I have a few glassing questions.
1) why do most people use .75 oz cloth and not .5 if strength really isnt the main goal

2) what method do most people use.. polycrylic, deft brushing laquer, etc....

I will, I have to get some Triangular stock for the ribs, and the CJM retracts have an oleo strut, so the forces transmitted to the structure are much lower... that said.. I do plan on...

OK, here are the latest pics on my build. I have the bottom sheeted.. and will put in the retract lines and tubes for the servo wiers.. then sheet the top.

Ok, I finally got the retracts to sit the way I am happy with and the wing is finally one piece.. Iam ready to sheet them... I will try to do it the way the manual says.. wish me luck lol

Riddle, one of the other things first seen on the mustang is the dropped radiator intake.  They dropped it out of the boundry layer of the fuselage and in to the undisturbed free stream air, this...

whats funny... North American designed and build the prototype in less time than it will take me to build the RC bird  (it took them about 120 days)

George, thanks for the advice, that is what I have been doing.. I will keep you posted.

I am also going with 2 servos instead of one for the ailerons
