RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Had a G38 in mine and it would fly better than scale. It would loop from level flight. G45 would give more vertical and not be too crazy and out of the scale envelope. The G62 is a bit much, unless...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

DD, I do like the Spacewalker, but I have another big plane, Robinhood, about finished and am trying to decide on building a Dynaflite Decathlon or Ziroli Stuka. Something had to go to make room and...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

mRqS,
The ZDZ 40 will be a great engine for it. It will also keep you from having to cut holes in the cowl.
I really like your Decathlon. I just sold my Spacewalker and am thinking about building...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Personally, I have flown her three weekends now. I have had about 1/3 of those flight end in dead-stick. I finally got it dialed in last weekend and was able to make all landings under power. I will...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

My elevator setup is slop-free. I like it better since this is a scale plane and servos sticking out the side kind of ruin the looks. Aerobatic planes I like to put the elevator servos in the tail.

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

I am using pull-pull rudder and a dowel pushrod for elevator. I do have a chunk of lead in the tail for balance. I have a G38 on mine. I don't think the cowl is the one that came with the kit. It is...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

I have not balanced it laterally, but I have not noticed it being heavy on either side when I have picked up the front by the prop hub and left the tailwheel on the ground. I figure it would lean to...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Lee wanted an update on my Spacewalker so here is what I posted in a G38 engine thread:
I flew the Spacewalker with the G38 and the APC 19x8W prop and boy did it make a difference over the...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

I am finally getting around to adding pics of my Spacewalker with the clipped wing to 92". I tried to show the wing bays and the distance between ribs.

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

Thanks for the info. It appears that the center 2 bays were cut out of mine. I can't really tell since the entire center is fully sheeted up to the last bay from the ailerons. My ailerons are 6 bays...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

What is the distance in inches and number of bays from the ailerons to the wing center (root)? I am trying to determine how my wing was clipped. I don't have the plans to go by either.
Are your...

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker

My build is complete:D I bought it used from a club member. He got it from a family member in Indiana. It has a G-38 on it. All I had to do was install radio and patch some hangar rash. It needs a...
