RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 build

You make some good points TWN, however I think regardless of CG the less weight in this bipe the better. The reality is that even when you are 'shifting CG weight' around you are essentially just...

RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 build

mite be a little big and heavy for this plane....the lighter the better this plane flies. Also more weight = more speed when landing, something you want to avoid with the ultimate.

RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 build

Check the interwing struts too as sometimes they can twist the wings up due to a tight fit.

I personally wouldn't alter the reccomended incidence. I built mind in accordance with the plans and I can tell you now its easily one of the sweetest...

RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 build

Dale,

If it is a Goldberg then yes, the floor of the cockpit.

The line of flight runs parallel to the top of the main fuse sides BEFORE you would have glued anything to them. Hopefully this...

RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 build

What servos are you using flynutz and what are their torque ratings? I can only echo the comments made by Crash....make sure there is zero play in the control linkages.

RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 build

You can use the supplied ones, but I think they will not be as strong as the fiberglass one for sure.

RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 build

Yeah it certainly ain't what I would call 'The Best Kit on the Market'. Having said that, I seem to have built myself what appears to be a strong yet light weight and very pollished looking plane (in...

RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 build

yeah just some 3/16 aircraft ply peices there to screw the servo plate/hatch into, and then a small 1/4" ply scrap above where the screw goes in to give a little more 'bite' for the screw thread. I...

RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 build

Here we go, don't know if you have seen them already from my thread. Access panel is also the basplate upon which the servos are side-mounted. Servos screwed into a 1/4" piece of aircraft ply which...

RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 build

I have my eye on an aeroworks yak 54 90-120 for my next model. Looks like a really sweet 3d plane and will rock with my os 120ax, or the GP Sukhoi 160 too. I don't think the dynamics of the Ultimate...

RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 build

Hi Cub Man,
I would either use thread lock every time you bolt it in (messy and alot of hassle). Or I would try get the old blind nuts out and re-srill and seat a new blind nut set with 1/4" dubro...
