Did you fly your Avanti yet? I too am wondering about that CG location....it seems too far aft.

On mine I insulated the tail wiring as you said. For my own piece of mind I brushed in Heatshield above the engine, since there is no hatch there.

Yeah I think that is too much down trim also. I use Flight modes and test it at altitude, and adjust the elevator trim for each Flap setting.

The only place for standard size servo was the flaps. I used MKS HV737's for everything else; had to sand a little on each servo mount, but not much.
